Insurance Claims from Hurricane Matthew Now Total Over 90,000 in Florida

Just a few weeks after Hurricane Matthew ravaged Florida and the East Coast, insurance claims continue to pour in.

Home and business owners, after evaluating their damages, have begun to file claims with their insurance companies. In Florida alone, those claims have now totaled more than 90,000 according to SaintPetersBlog.com. Throughout the South East, from Florida up through South Carolina, North Carolina and beyond, insurance companies estimate claims to top $7 billion dollars in an Oct. 24 report at TheStreet.com.

Disaster and restoration firms, as well many roofing and construction companies across Florida, are mobilizing to restore homes and businesses damaged in the storm.
